Types of bathroom vanities

The variety of available options on today’s bathroom vanity market makes choosing the perfect one a potentially hard task if you dont have a clear vision of what exactly you are looking for. Bathroom vanities come in different sizes, stlyes and configurations with some being suited for small bathrooms while the others were designed with no shortage of available room in mind. When trying to pick the right unit for you, available space must be the first criterion. Depending on the available space you may opt for one of the various types of bathroom vanities.

For very small bathrooms, small corner mount vanities can be an excellent choice provided that you have an empty corner available. Corner mount units will preserve a lot of much needed space and allow you to use that space for other things that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.
If you have no free corners available, the next best choice would be a wall mount vanity unit. These units consume less space because they are not stretching all the way from the floor which allows for more space around the vanity to be free and available.

For medium sized bathrooms, most types usually work well, although opting for a smaller unit or set will again leave you with more available space. If your bathroom is medium sized but you still feel that there is not enough room, a single washbasin unit would be the logical choice. They are constructed for one person at a time use, as opposed to double vanities that are designed to be used by two people at a time which is what many married couples and famillies prefer as it not only allows more intimacy but also saves precious morning time. Double vanities do not neccessarily have to take up a lot of space but if they are more compact there is usually a storage space sacrifice which may be a concern for some customers.

Bigger bathrooms allow for a virtually unlimited freedom when choosing a vanity since the main concern, space, is not really a concern at all. The number of people that will be using the bathroom, and usually a big bathroom will be used by more than one person, is the key criterion when it comes to picking the vanity type. Double units with lots of storage room that stretch from wall to wall are excellent choices, providing more than enough space for a comfortable, uncluttered daily use by two or more persons.
