Made out of white Exmar, a quartz powder and resin composite, these three tubs by Agape Design capture attention and invoke strong feelings on first sight. Sharp rectangular shapes and large flat surfaces contrasted by thin, delicate looking sidewalls work together wonderfully creating a profound impression of style and elegance and are just yearning for some dark wood furniture to compliment them creating a wonderful modern bathroom setting that would steal many “Wows”. They were designed by the Benedini Associati team in 2005 and today, two years later, they look as good as they did originally. Wow. We especially liked the VAS930/931 models with lateral open shelves, simillar to MTI Metro 2.

We recently stumbled upon some pictures of modern bathroom furniture we really liked and upon some searching around we managed to find the manufacturer, Italy’s Berloni Bagno. We partculary liked the Day, Loft, Squared and Art collecions, modern and simple - exactly how we like them! The rest of the product line is more on the traditional side albeit some of it is still interesting and unique enough even to us, hardline minimalists. There are some pieces we would never even consider putting in a bathroom we were designing, but to each their own. The four collections we liked get two thumbs up, the rest.. well, you decide on yor own - Berloni Bagno.

We really liked this simple but interesting bathroom collection by Ceramica GSG. There is a total of four different sinks, two single and two double, ranging from 60 to 105 cm in size that can be both wall-mounted and used as countertop sinks, whichever option you prefer. We especially liked the Lilac 105 sink with two faucets, ideal for a modern family bathroom. There are also three different toilet and bidet variants: wall-hung, monobloc and floor-trap. All elements are very elegant and simple in design and would look amazing in a minimalistic-style bathroom. The only thing this collection really lacks is a bathtub, but finding one that will fit in should not be a problem because the design, while being remarkably stylish, is simple enough to work well with almost any modern bathtub design. We liked it, did you?

Omax faucets

Another less-known italian faucet manufacturer, Omax, has some interesting products that deserve more attention than they are currently getting. We really liked the elegant and a bit futuristic “Polar” line that would work wonderfully paired with a minimalistic, oval or rectangular, countertop sink. The rest of their product line is also interesting. Simple and elegant yet maybe a little too simillar to the other products on the bathroom faucet market to really stand out, which is not to say we dislike any of them. Simple, stylish, sophisticated… That would sum up our impressions when we saw the AltaGamma line by Guglielmi. We love simple design, and when simplicity and sophistication come together like they do in this faucet line we simply must share it with you. These fauctes would be an excellent choice for any modern bathroom with their fresh and elegant look that will leave a few people without a comment. Beautiful.

There is something about waterfall-style faucets that we simply can’t resist. Arya by Bandini is certanly not a new concept in faucet design but that doesn’t diminish the beauty of this italian faucet line. Seeing the water flow slowly over the egde adds a natural feel to the whole bathroom. The ceramic unit is unique and certailnly a refreshing idea even if it looks a tad bit unpractical and maybe even too visually complicated for our liking. The simpler steel and glass combo versions are a clear favorite if you ask us. More info can be found at Bandini.

Another product from the WaterTile program by Kohler - Ambient Rain - an overhead shower panel with four 54-nozzle sprayheads can be an excellent cheaper alternative for people who want a chromotherapy shower system but arent keen on paying the price complete systems come at. An integrated chromotherapy system takes care of enchancing the atmosphere with it’s colored light sequences while the 4 54-nozzle sprayheads gently rain all over your body. Combined with other Kohler WaterTile products, Ambient Rain could prove to be a real winner.
